Have you heard of Los Nevados National Park? ⛰️

While most travelers may not have the time for a 3-day trek, the hike to Laguna Verde offers an incredible glimpse into the beauty of Colombia’s Andean range.
With around 5 km of hiking at nearly 4,000 meters above sea level, the trail rewards you with breathtaking landscapes, high-altitude lagoons, and the raw magic of the páramo ecosystem. 🇨🇴
After the hike, travelers can enjoy a typical local lunch at the mountain hut Refugio El Cisne before heading back to the hotel — the perfect ending to a day in the Andes.

Nice hike from Barichara to Villanueva, 8km, 400m of ascent. Less crowded that the Game hike, more spectacular views and excellent ice-cream in Villanueva. Get back to Barichara by foot on the old road or with mototaxi or buseta.

A new year's eve tradition in Colombia is to burn a carrancio to get rid of the old year's bad vibes. Carrancios are made from old clothes and can have a variety of meanings, including political. This one is a neutral family project :-) They are displayed for a couple of days before new year's eve.
