Some airport layovers become the highlight of the trip.

It was a pleasure welcoming Glenna and her daughter from Ontario, Canada, for a private layover tour in Bogota. Instead of spending hours waiting at the airport, they explored Monserrate, wandered through the colorful streets of La Candelaria, enjoyed Colombian specialty coffee, and experienced the city like locals.

One of the things I enjoy most about hosting layover tours is showing travelers that, with the right planning, just a few hours are enough to discover the heart of Bogota in a relaxed and stress-free way before returning comfortably to the airport.

Thank you, Glenna, for trusting me with your time in Colombia. I hope your visit to Bogota becomes one of those travel memories your family will always remember.

Some places tell you more about Colombia than any museum ever could. 🥝🥭🇨🇴

When Nicole from California visited Bogota, one of the highlights of her private tour was the vibrant Paloquemao Market.

Walking through colorful fruit stalls, tasting flavors she'd never experienced before, and meeting the people behind Colombia's incredible biodiversity turned an ordinary morning into one of the most memorable parts of her trip.

This is why I enjoy including local places alongside Bogota's iconic landmarks. They help travelers experience the city beyond the guidebooks, without worrying about language barriers, transportation, or planning every detail.

If you're visiting Bogota and would like a private experience designed around your interests, I'd be delighted to welcome you.

Can you discover a country through its flavors? I believe you can. 🇨🇴

When Kelly and David from California joined me for a food tour in Bogota, we weren't simply tasting local dishes—we were discovering the stories behind them.

From tropical fruits found nowhere else in the world to freshly made arepas, specialty Colombian coffee, rich hot chocolate, and finally a craft beer tasting to experience Bogota's growing brewing scene, every stop revealed another piece of Colombia's incredible diversity.

Food has a special way of bringing people together. By the end of the afternoon, we weren't just talking about what we had eaten—we were sharing stories, laughing together, and celebrating the moments that make travel so memorable.

Thank you, Kelly and David, for your curiosity, your kindness, and for allowing me to share a little piece of my city and my country with you. I hope every flavor reminds you of your time in Bogota.

More than sightseeing... it's about sharing moments. 🇨🇴❤️

One of my favorite parts of this job is watching Bogota become more than just another destination.

This wonderful family from Florida 🇺🇸 spent several days exploring the city with me—from smooth airport transfers, to the incredible Salt Cathedral, to discovering Bogota's neighborhoods, history, local flavors, and vibrant markets.

One of the highlights? Sharing fresh fruit inside one of Bogota's traditional local markets. Sometimes it's these simple moments that become the memories people cherish the most.

Thank you for trusting Bogota Driver Guide Service to be part of your Colombian adventure. It was a pleasure showing you my city.

See you again soon!

A long layover can become one of the best memories of a trip. ✈️🇨🇴

Kaelyn from Colorado had just a few hours in Bogota before continuing her journey, but that was more than enough to discover why so many travelers leave this city pleasantly surprised.

Together we explored the historic streets of La Candelaria, enjoyed the incredible views from Monserrate, and finished with one of my favorite traditions: sharing a great cup of Colombian coffee.

After the tour, Kaelyn wrote:

"Felipe gave the greatest tour I could've hoped for! He was so informative and kept it interesting the whole day!"

Thank you, Kaelyn, for trusting me with your time in Bogota. I hope this was just the beginning of your journey through Colombia.

The best private tours don't follow a script—they follow your interests. 📸🇨🇴

Chyan loves photography, so instead of simply visiting Bogota's most famous landmarks, we shaped the day around the places that inspired her creativity.

We wandered through the colorful streets of La Candelaria, admired iconic architecture, searched for unique perspectives across the city, and, of course, paused to enjoy a great cup of Colombian coffee along the way.

One of the things I enjoy most about private tours is that no two days are ever the same. Every traveler brings a different curiosity, and every experience becomes unique because of it.

Thank you, Chyan, for allowing me to see my city through your camera. I hope Bogota inspired as many memories as photographs.

Sometimes the best destination is the one you never planned to visit. ✈️🇨🇴

Mats and his friend from Norway had a long layover in Bogota, so instead of waiting at the airport, they decided to discover the city.

Together we explored the historic streets of La Candelaria, admired the breathtaking views from Monserrate, and enjoyed one of Colombia's greatest traditions—a great cup of local coffee.

One of my favorite stops was the Gabriel García Márquez Cultural Center, where architecture, literature, and history come together to tell the story of our country.

After the tour, Mats wrote:

"What a great tour! Luis provided a perfect service, with so much knowledge about Colombia."

Thank you both for choosing to spend your layover discovering Bogota. I hope you'll come back one day with even more time to explore.

Some places become even more memorable after sunset. 🌆🇨🇴

Elizabeth from Utah experienced Bogota from a different perspective as we visited Monserrate in the evening, watching the city lights slowly come to life beneath the Andes.

One of the things I enjoy most about private tours is having the flexibility to slow down, enjoy the moment, and let each stop unfold naturally instead of rushing from place to place.

Thank you, Elizabeth, for sharing this beautiful evening in Bogota with me. I hope every time you see a city skyline, you'll remember this view from Monserrate.
