TRAVEL TIP TUESDAY ✈️ | READ PAST THE HEADLINES

With everything happening politically, it’s easy to assume travel everywhere is impacted. That’s rarely the case.

Here’s a real example from my own clients traveling to Aruba:

When FAA restrictions briefly popped up, they were temporary and precautionary. Airports reopened within days. Flights resumed. Aruba itself was never impacted. No advisories. No safety concerns. Business as usual.

This is why I always tell my clients:
👉 News alerts don’t equal travel risk.

What does matter is:
• Knowing whether advisories actually affect your destination
• Understanding what protections you already have in place
• Having an advisor who checks facts, not headlines
• Making decisions based on real-time info—not fear

Aruba has consistently been rated one of the safest Caribbean destinations for years, and my clients on the ground felt exactly that: safe, relaxed, and glad they stayed the course.

The real Travel Tip:
Don’t panic-pivot your trip. Pause, ask questions, and get clarity before changing plans that may already be well protected.

New Passport Gender Policy Sparks National Conversation

US Customs and Border Protection recently changed how airlines handle gender markers on American passports.
Airlines are now required to enter either “M” or “F” in their systems — disregarding the “X” marker that was introduced in 2022 for travelers who do not identify within the traditional binary.

Passports with “X” markers are still valid under federal law, but airlines will no longer record that designation in their databases.

This shift has raised discussions about inclusion, accuracy, and practicality in travel documentation.
