✍️ The names don’t fit in the palm of my hand.

But they do fit in my memory.

Every morning, when I welcome travelers beneath our yellow umbrellas in Plaza Santa Teresa, I try to learn their names as quickly as possible.

It’s not a tour guide technique.

It’s a sign of respect.

Because nobody wants to feel like just another person in a group.

Everyone wants to feel seen, heard, and appreciated.

Perhaps years from now, I won’t remember exactly how many tours I’ve led.

But I will always remember that behind every tour were people who crossed oceans, boarded airplanes, and chose Cartagena to create meaningful memories.

And for that, I thank God every day.

For the travelers.

For the stories.

And for the opportunity to continue sharing the magic of Cartagena with the world.
