Mornings at Blue Palm Bed & Breakfast are full of birdsong, river sounds, and a perfect cup of coffee 🌿🐦

This week from our river-view terrace we’ve spotted dozens of birds, just to name a few:
✨ Ringed Kingfisher
🦜 Yellow-naped Amazon Parrot
🌸 Rose-throated Becard
🌾 Bare-throated Tiger Heron
💙 Blue-gray Tanager

Coffee tastes better when the soundtrack is tropical birds and flowing water.

The rancho at is our favorite place to relax and watch the wildlife. It sits above this little rio.

We’re surrounded by dozens of species of birds, lizards, squirrels, and even the occasional kinkajou! Now we’re patiently waiting for the monkeys to come say hello too 🐒🌴

This is our lovely avocado tree 🥑 that we are anxiously awaiting to pick! Rumor has it that we will have avocados for 6-10 weeks July to September. 🫶 Fresh avocado toast anyone? Come stay with us at Blue Palm Bed & Breakfast! 🍳 🥑 🍞

Rainy season in Atenas is pure magic. From May-November we will get rain almost daily.
In rainy season at Blue Palm Bed & Breakfast, the mornings start fresh and sunny with your homemade breakfast, the river runs a little fuller these days, and the afternoons bring those sweet-smelling tropical showers. That’s the perfect time for a hot pour-over coffee, a relaxing swing in the hammock with a book, or a siesta!

When the sun comes back out (and it usually does), everything is greener, cooler, and incredibly peaceful. 💙

If you’ve been thinking about a quiet Costa Rica escape, rainy season might just be the best-kept secret. ☕🌧️🌴

Whether you're visiting for a night, a week, or longer — we’re here to help with a safe place to stay, free breakfast, local tips, and transportation through Pura Vida Rides (if needed).
