How difficult is it for Americans to buy property in Costa Rica?
If you are considering buying property in Costa Rica the question is how easy or how difficult you make it. Early this year I bought an acre of land in The Central Valley. It took one month to find my land and another month to get it registered legally with the Costa Rica National Registry under my name. Of course it makes a big difference that I speak Spanish and can find great Tico Attorneys and I can incentivize them to do a fast and correct job.
In short if you carry a valid USA passport and have a valid visa to visit Costa Rica, you can legally buy and have the property in your name in less than 6 months. Call me or write me 469-588-0539

Not only did we have to search my Health Pass lost in my IPhone but the 1 to 2 hour wait at the Airport and clearing immigration upon arriving was a nightmare although I did meet and talked to very interesting Americans, Canadians and Europeans while in line

With armed guards at the main gate.
As the owner or tenant you are notified by phone that you have a visitor and if it’s ok to let such visitor in.
The visitor then presents a Government ID to the guard who makes a scan and registers the visitor
