Spotted this grey-headed kite during our River Boat Tour today

this bird has a soft grey head and dark eyes, unlike almost every other hawk in Costa Rica which has yellow or orange eyes, it also has surprisingly short legs which makes it look like its belly is resting right on the branch when perched
this is why every day out here feels different, you never know whats going to show up

Theres something about gliding down the river at sunrise, crocodiles sunbathing on the banks, howler monkeys calling from the trees and birds everywhere you look
