We’re excited to share the 2025 biological calendar of the Agami Heron on Agami Island. Each stage of the nesting cycle—arrival of adults, nest building, egg laying, incubation, and the growth of chicks—marks an essential moment for this unique species.

This calendar helps us to strengthen conservation efforts in one of the most important nesting sites for the Agami Heron in America.

🪶🌿 Agami Island Nesting Colony Monitoring 2025 🌿🪶

Each season, Agami Island becomes a sanctuary of life and hope. Our team carried out a new monitoring of the nesting colony, recording the presence of the iconic Agami Heron (Agamia agami) and other species that depend on the wetlands of Costa Ana.

This work allows us to evaluate the status of the colony, protect active nests, and strengthen ongoing conservation efforts in this unique ecosystem.

This past weekend, thanks to the sponsorship of Hotel Río Celeste Hideaway and Onca Tours, we held a birdwatching course for future tour guides of Costa Ana. 🐦👩‍🏫
