Costa Rican Bird Route

Located in the northern region of Costa Rica, this ecotourism project offers a variety of bird watching and nature tourism opportunities. The Bird Route consists of 18 nature reserves specifically chosen for their high diversity of bird species. te offers the best opportunity to view this species on the planet! The Costa Rican Bird Route project is being implemented by the non-profit Rainforest Biodiversity Group and the objectives are:
1. Improve the connectivity of habitat within the San Juan-La Selva Biological Corridor in northern Costa Rica
2. Provide an economic benefit to local landowners to maintain habitat through eco-tourism
3. Attract tourists to the northern region of Costa Rica for more than just two or three days
5. Develop the Bird Route to be a famous destination known for its birds, its culture, and amazing natural resources.
