We moved to Costa Rica over 17 years ago and made every mistake possible. I was thinking of video ideas and thought of our move. Instead of mistakes, I was thinking about listing the top 10 regrets we had about our move to Costa Rica. One thing led to another, and this video came about. Basically folks seem to have 2 different types of regret in their lives. One, what they didn't do and two, what they did do. Most people agree that the biggest regrets seems to be the things you didn't do. You know, lying on your death bed full of regret and wishing you had just a few more days to make things right. As of April 12th, the Ministry of Health in Costa Rica have recorded 97 cases of malaria in Limon Province. The Limon Province is on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. 52 cases were found in the Pococi' Canton. 42 in Limon Beach and 2 cases in Matina Canton and 1 in Siquirres Canton.

The Costa Rica authorities have requested anyone living or who visited Limon during Holy Week, go to the nearest Social Security Public Clinic for testing. Fifty officials from the Ministry of Health and the CCSS have been mobilized in the area to carry out diagnostic testing. Costa Rica is on it.

Malaria as defined by Wikipedia-

"Malaria is a mosquito-borne infectious disease that affects humans and other animals. Malaria causes symptoms that typically include fever, tiredness, vomiting, and headaches. In severe cases, it can cause jaundice, seizures, coma, or death. Symptoms usually begin ten to fifteen days after being bitten by an infected mosquito. If not properly treated, people may have recurrences of the disease months later. In those who have recently survived an infection, reinfection usually causes milder symptoms. This partial resistance disappears over months to years if the person has no continuing exposure to malaria."

Malaria the last 14 years-
- In 2009, Costa Rica was classified as "low risk of malaria transmission" from the Powers that Be.
- In 2013, Costa Rica had its lowest incidence of malaria in the history of the country, with only 6 cases reported.
- 2014/2015 no cases were reported.
- 2016-2020 the Ministry of Health reported 432 cases of malaria, most found in the northern zone of Costa Rica.
- 2022 reported 139 malaria cases.
