The Tamandua, also known as the collared anteater, is a peaceful tree-dweller that roams the forests of Caño Negro in search of ants and termites. With its long snout and powerful claws, it's perfectly adapted to its environment.
Hotel de Campo is located just minutes from the Caño Negro Refuge, making it the ideal base for nature lovers and photographers. Here, wildlife encounters happen every day. The refuge is a small protected area of 10,000 hectares, but the wetlands and forests around it extend from the base of the Tenorio Volcano to Lake Nicaragua.
