We have a beautiful nature preserve within walking distance from La Joya de Nosara. To access the reserve, go to Lagarta Lodge hotel reception - pay $10 / person then walk through their property to access. Wear sturdy hiking sandals, pack bug spray and water. The trail runs under the tree canopy and is a nice diversion from our sunny beaches. Plan on a 2 hour trek through well maintained trail system. You can have a self guided tour by following the signage, or schedule a guide. It’s best to go in the early morning. More photos in comments.
