CASA OHANA EXPERIENCE | LAS CATALINAS 🌴

A change of scenery, without going too far.

About 45 minutes from Casa Ohana, Las Catalinas is one of those places worth making a day of. A pedestrian beach town built around Playa Danta, where Mediterranean inspired architecture, tropical dry forest and the Pacific come together in one very walkable little village.

Start with a coffee and a slow walk through the plazas and cobblestone streets. Browse local boutiques, beachwear, art and small shops, stop for something sweet, or pick up provisions at the gourmet market.

Then head down to Playa Danta for a swim in its sheltered bay, or take the short walk through the dry forest to quieter Playa Dantita.

Just a short drive from Rancho Playa Negra, we discovered Olé Cocina Mediterránea Olé | Restaurante Español en Tamarindo 🇪🇸 , a little corner of Spain tucked into the Pinilla area, now even easier to reach with the new road through Pinilla.

Think Spanish w**e, sangria, tapas made for sharing, paella, croquettes, pulpo a la gallega, Spanish classics and beautifully prepared meats , the kind of dinner that slowly turns into a whole evening. 🍷🥘
