JACO BIRDWATCHING TOURS
Green Crowned Brilliant
Of the 338 known species of Hummingbird worldwide there are around 50 in Costa Rica.
Hummingbirds are named for the distinctive sound made by their tiny beating wings, and are admired for their vibrantly colored iridescent plumage. Their ability to hover, with wings beating between 12 and 90 times a second, and to fly backwards makes them different from all other birds.
You can see all these wonderful birds at our Jaco Birdwatching Tour for just $45pp, call now: 1-800-714-9197/Local: 2643-6011
Jesus Christ lizard
Three basilisk lizard species, the common basilisk, emerald basilisk and brown basilisk live in Costa Rica, and are present in most major ecosystems and climate zones. They are also known as Jesus Christ lizards for their ability to run on the surface of water. Basilisks are not poisonous and are characterized by large and long bodies, compressed tails, and, in males, a fleshy crest. #nikoncameras #birdingtours #naturejourneys #costarica #photographytours #scientifictours
