🌊✨ A Strategic Step for the Future of Women’s Sport in Costa Rica ✨🌊
Today’s press conference represents far more than a formal announcement. It marks a significant milestone in advancing women’s sport in Costa Rica and in strengthening long-term, high-performance development processes built on years of dedication, discipline and sacrifice.
As Costa Rica Women’s Rafting Team, our recent historic results at the World Championships demonstrate the impact of sustained commitment, technical excellence, and teamwork. These achievements are not an endpoint, but rather the foundation of a new competitive cycle, focused on continued preparation and future international competitions.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Congresswoman Rosaura Méndez for promoting this legislative initiative and for recognizing women’s sport as a key driver of development, equity, and national representation 🇨🇷.
Investing in women’s sport is an investment in the future in opportunity, sustainability, and in inspiring the next generation of athletes.

Hoy celebramos mucho más que una conferencia de prensa.
Este encuentro representa una oportunidad histórica para seguir abriendo camino al deporte femenino y dar respaldo a procesos que requieren años de trabajo, disciplina y sacrificio.
Como equipo femenino de Rafting, venimos de alcanzar resultados históricos en el Mundial, demostrando que el talento, la constancia y el trabajo en equipo nos llevan lejos. Pero estos logros no son un punto final: son el inicio de un nuevo proceso de preparación y competencia, con la mirada puesta en los próximos retos internacionales.
Agradecemos a la diputada Rosaura Méndez por impulsar este proyecto de ley y por creer en el deporte femenino como una herramienta de desarrollo, igualdad y representación país 🇨🇷.
