The next group of students to walk into this computer lab will probably never wonder who painted the walls. They will simply find a more welcoming place to learn. And that’s what truly matters.

A few weeks ago, a group of Travel Excellence team members spent the day renovating the computer lab at Poasito High School in Alajuela.

Sometimes, a fresh coat of paint does more than change a wall. It changes the feeling of a place, inspiring those who use it every day to keep learning, growing, and building their future.

We believe that even the smallest actions can create a lasting impact!

El próximo grupo de estudiantes que entre a este laboratorio probablemente no se pregunte quién pintó las paredes. Simplemente encontrará un espacio más agradable para aprender. Y eso es lo verdaderamente importante.

Hace unas semanas, algunos de nuestros colaboradores de Travel Excellence dedicó una jornada a renovar el laboratorio de computación del Liceo de Poasito, en Alajuela.

Una capa de pintura no solo transforma un espacio, también puede cambiar la forma en que se siente, inspirando a quienes lo utilizan cada día para seguir aprendiendo, creciendo y construyendo su futuro.

Meet one of Costa Rica’s most fascinating rainforest residents: the Tapir

✔️ The largest land mammal in Central America, weighing up to 300 kg (660 lb).
✔️ Despite its size, it moves quietly through the rainforest and is surprisingly difficult to spot.
✔️ It is mostly solitary, coming together only during mating season or when a mother is raising her calf.
✔️ A herbivore that feeds on leaves, fruits, shoots, and aquatic plants.
✔️ Often called the “”gardener of the forest”” because it disperses seeds, helping regenerate the rainforest.
✔️ Its presence is a sign of a healthy, well-preserved ecosystem.

Seeing a tapir in the wild is never guaranteed. And that’s exactly what makes every encounter so extraordinary!

Conocé a uno de los habitantes más fascinantes de los bosques de Costa Rica: la danta.

✔️ Es el mamífero terrestre más grande de Centroamérica y puede llegar a pesar hasta 300 kg.
✔️ A pesar de su tamaño, se mueve con mucho silencio por el bosque y es muy difícil de observar.
✔️ Vive principalmente sola, reuniéndose con otras dantas solo durante la época reproductiva o cuando una madre cuida a su cría.
✔️ Es herbívora y se alimenta de hojas, frutos, brotes y plantas acuáticas.
✔️ Es conocida como la “”jardinera del bosque””, ya que dispersa semillas que ayudan a regenerar el bosque tropical.
✔️ Su presencia es un indicador de un ecosistema sano y bien conservado.

Much of what makes Costa Rica unique has its roots here. And that is why, every July 25th we celebrate the ”Anexión del Partido de Nicoya”, that helped shape the identity, culture, and spirit that we proudly share with the world today.

El sonido de la marimba. El calor del sol sobre el Pacífico. Las recetas compartidas por generaciones. La inmensidad de sus paisajes. La forma en que se viven sus playas.
