Yesterday we received the Angle family from Wisconsin, USA. We traveled from Tamarindo, Guanacaste to visit the rainforest in Arenal area.

The hike on the hanging bridges was very rewarding, we saw very interesting species and enjoyed every moment in the rainforest.

Always happy to share these naturalist walks.

Day #6 with the Colorado student group.

We started the day with a visit to the high school in Paquera, where we were welcomed by Professor Francisco and students of the Ecological Tourism specialty who took us on a walk through the facilities and the reserve. The experience was interesting for both groups.

Then, in the afternoon we visited the conservation and breading project for the reintroduction of the scarlet macaw in the Nicoya Peninsula.

Finally, we close our itinerary with the bioluminescence tour where we experienced the magic of the glowing water while swimming under the night sky with beautiful stars.

Day # 5 with our students from Colorado

We embarked on our tour to Tortuga Island, a natural jewel in the Gulf of Nicoya.

This tour departed from Montezuma and included a visit to Playa Mu***os, a beautiful white sand beach.

The closing of the tour included a visit to the Tidal Pools of Playa Carmen, where we enjoyed the sunset and the warm water of the beach.

It was a spectacular tour!

Day #4 with Colorado students.

We headed to the beach!

We took the ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera to start our adventure in Santa Teresa. As we left La Fortuna we got a tremendous surprise when we found a two-toed sloth on the side of the road.

Day #3 with the Colorado student group.

The day was full of adventure activities. We started with the Canopy tour and in the afternoon we did the ATV tour.

The day was clear which allowed us to have a very nice view of the volcano. We hiked on the 1968 lava flow reaching one of the closest points from the base of the volcano.

Day # 2

We started the day with the cocoa and coffee tour. In the afternoon we did a painting workshop, it was amazing. The group showed great painting skills.
In the morning while doing the tour in the coffee plantation we found a small snake called Snail Eating Snake.

15/03/2025

Day #1

Yesterday I picked up the group of students from Colorado to take them to La Fortuna.

Today's activities included a suspension bridge tour and cooking classes.
During the hike we observed birds such as momots, toucans and hummingbirds. We also encountered a troop of howler monkeys and visited the Morpho waterfall.

On the way to the cooking class tour we looked for a sloth that lives on the side of the road, we were very fortunate to see it actively eating leaves.

The dinner was spectacular and the group enjoyed every moment.

Day #3 with our travelers from Luxembourg.

Today we visited the Santa Elena Reserve located in the Cloud Forest of Monteverde.

During the 2 hour nature walk we had the opportunity to observe several species of birds including the Emerald Toucanet and the Black Guan that inhabit the Cloud Forest.

We also had the opportunity to observe a Porcupine, a rare nocturnal mammal difficult to find. The body of this animal is covered with spines, which it uses to defend itself from predators.

Day #2 with our travelers from Luxembourg

Today we visited the hanging bridges of Heliconias. The hanging bridges allow you to appreciate a completely different perspective of the rainforest 🌲🌳🪻🦥🐦‍⬛🦅

On the tour we found several species of birds and a troop of white-faced monkeys in their natural habitat, it was very exciting to see their behavior while we recorded them with the telescope lens

Today I was very pleased to welcome Nancy's family in Costa Rica. They are travelers from Luxembourg.

They are very sensitive to nature and show great interest in natural history.

Yesterday we had the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful natural event; the "Arrivada" (mass nesting) of the olive ridley turtle to the beach of Ostional where it nests.

The Ostional Wildlife Refuge was created in 1984 to protect the area from poachers stealing the sea turtle eggs. This makes this National Wildlife Refuge a very important Sea Turtle Conservation project
