Today we had another great fishing day . We started the morning fishing in the river, as the tide conditions were perfect to fish there for a couple of hours.
We began trolling and quickly landed a yellowtail snapper and a bigeye jack. Both fish were safely released, and we continued trolling. The next fish we hooked was a nice tarpon, which we brought to the boat, took a quick photo, and released.
After that, we headed out to the ocean, working along the coastline doing some casting with topwater lures. We had lots of action, catching several jacks, four sierra mackerels, and a roosterfish.
Today was definitely a day full of action and adrenaline!

Today it didn’t take long to get our first catch on the boat — a beautiful cubera snapper 🔥 Cees landed this fierce predator on a popper! After a quick photo, we released the cubera and kept casting topwater… but no more action.
We switched to trolling and Marcel hooked into a barracuda 💪 The sonar was marking plenty of fish, but they just wouldn’t bite. We also had no luck catching live bait.
Around midday we moved to another spot. There, Cees had a small roosterfish chasing his popper, coming right up alongside the boat — twice! On the third cast, we finally hooked it… Marcel’s first roosterfish! 🐓🎣
Right there we tried again for live bait and this time we filled the livewell with several spotted snappers — excellent bait for roosterfish.
Once again we moved to a new fishing spot. The moment the first bait hit the water… BOOM! Immediate bite! A beautiful bluefin trevally 💥
We kept fishing with live bait, catching and releasing two more roosterfish, and we had three more on the line that unfortunately managed to escape. That’s fishing! 😉
It was a great day on the water — and not just because of the fish. Early in the morning, about two miles off the mouth of the Sierpe River, we spotted a humpback whale with her calf 🐋 We also saw several sea turtles and manta rays cruising nearby — an incredible sight!
At the end of three fishing days, Cees and Marcel landed: Sierra mackerel, Pacific red snapper, jack crevalle, barracuda, bluefin trevally, mangrove snapper, yellowtail snapper, cubera snapper, and roosterfish — and they even had a beautiful tarpon on the line.
What an unforgettable trip! 🌊🎣

This morning we headed out to sea for a fishing trip. The rain, strong winds, and rough conditions— which are unusual for this time of year—didn’t make things easy. Even so, we managed to catch a few bonito, yellowfin tuna, and a nice almaco jack.

Today we had an excellent morning of fishing. Even though we left the dock a bit late, once we reached the fishing spots the jigging was very productive. In a short amount of time, we landed 8 yellowtail snappers and 2 red snappers. Since the clients were mainly looking for some action and a couple of fish for dinner, they decided to finish the day early and head back home.

The day started with a beautiful rainbow. At the end of the rainbow, we didn’t find gold—but we did find yellowfin tunas(3), 1 wahoo, 1 almaco jack, and snappers, including 1 yellowtail snapper and 1 red snapper. By 11:00 a.m., the fishing was already done, so the clients decided to head back early—another highly successful day on the water.
