A Harpy Eagle chick is one of the most extraordinary sights in the Neotropics. 🦅
This young harpy will spend 5–6 months in the nest before taking its first flight, but its journey is only beginning. Even after fledging, it will continue to rely on its parents for up to two years, learning the skills needed to survive as one of the world's most powerful forest predators.
With such a slow reproductive cycle, every chick represents a vital hope for the future of this magnificent species and the conservation of tropical forests.

Es omnívoro: come frutas, insectos y pequeños animales, demostrando que la supervivencia depende de la adaptación 💪
🌙 Solitario y nocturno
