The third and most unique experience within the Nayara collection is — where luxury and nature come together in a completely different way.

Perched above the rainforest, the tented villas offer incredible privacy, spacious layouts, and private plunge pools filled with naturally warm mineral water. The open design lets you fully take in the surrounding forest, and it’s not unusual for guests to spot wildlife right from their terrace.

A place we like to recommend in La Fortuna is . It’s a great option for both couples and families who appreciate well-appointed rooms and the convenience of having everything in one place — all with the Arenal Volcano always in view.

We’d love to give a shout out to one of our favorite hotels in the country: . Set at the base of Arenal Volcano, it’s known for its naturally flowing hot springs surrounded by lush rainforest — a true La Fortuna classic.

From the award-winning spa and excellent restaurants to beautifully designed rooms (including areas ideal for couples within the hot springs), Tabacón stands out for its outstanding service and attention to detail. It’s a place that consistently delivers a high-quality experience.

La Fortuna is one of those places that almost everyone falls for — even travelers who think they’re “not into volcanoes.” With Arenal rising in the background, hot springs tucked into the forest, waterfalls, hanging bridges, and endless ways to be outdoors, it’s an area that naturally becomes a highlight of the trip.

We include La Fortuna often because it works for so many travel styles — couples, families, first-time visitors, and repeat travelers alike. It’s active without feeling rushed, scenic without feeling remote, and always full of those “this is why we came to Costa Rica” moments.
