Playa Ventanas is a beautiful, small beach located on Costa Rica’s South Pacific coast, famous for its impressive sea caves that form natural tunnels through the rock. Key features: The caves—these are the main attraction. At low tide, you can walk through these large caves to get from one end of the beach to the other; at high tide, the sea surges powerfully through the openings. Nature—the beach is surrounded by lush rainforest, with palm trees extending almost to the water’s edge. Water and sand—the sand is dark and firm, while the water is crystal-clear and generally calm, though caution is advised as the tide rises.
