When in Valjevo, we drink Valjevsko Pivo. After a month of fruited sours, savory sours, and pastry stouts, I'm happy to enjoy a normal, clean, crisp national beer.
Valjevo, Serbia, is a beautiful little city that sits at the confluence of the Kolubara and Gradac rivers. There are many peaceful cafes on the shores of these rivers, and all of them serve fresh Valjevsko Pivo. The brewery itself is next to the Kolubara River, and its little museum store is a great place to learn about the city and this classic Serbian beer.
Yes, I know it's not a craft beer, but your average Serbian brewer probably drinks this crisp boy all the time
