[ 2 days 1 night ]

• Option 1: Starting the first day at 07:00 hours at your casa or hotel in Bayam after one hour drive we stop at the house of a farmer where the best view of the Sierra Maestra in Cuba. 15 minutes later we get to the entrance of Turquino National Park, meeting the local guide jumping into the transport to Alto del Naranjo and frim there start the hike 8 km to Aguada del Joaquin, arriving there for lunch time. If you feel like you can walk 5 km more to the top and 5 km back to the shelter after lunch we climb the summit of the highest mountain in Cuba, if not we start the next day at 05:00 hours with the chance of watching thw sunrise before the top. We would be back to the shelter around 11:00 hours with time for a rest and lunch. Around 13:00 hours we should be departing on our way to Santo Domingo back to Alto del Naranjo or via the Yara river. Late in the afternoon before 17:00 hours we should be back meeting the transport back to Bayamo or if you want to stay at and leave for Bayamo the next day after breakfast.

A second option could be sleeping overnight at 15 minutes from the entrance of Turquino National Park doing l Option 1 )

Option 2: Starting from Bayamo or Casita Bella Vista Granma finishing in Santiago de Cuba ( Las Cuevas) with over night at Aguada del Joaquin camp the first day and the second day departure after breakfast 05:00 hours 5 km to the top and then 11 km to Las Cuevas on the southern side of the Sierra Maestra lunch at Acantilado swimming spot or by the beach and then drive to Santiago de Cuba or viceverse.

• Option 3 Santiago de Cuba - Pico Turquino [ 1 day ]
On this day we departure from Santiago de Cuba at your location (casa or Hotel ) at 04:00 hours 2 hours later we arrive to Las Cuevas where we have a light breakfast and then start the climb from sea level to 1974 meter on the top of Pico Turquino arriving there by depending how fast you walk, you must bring energy bars and snacks and water because we will be having lunch once we are back in Las Cuevas. After lunch we departure for Santiago de Cuba.
