Day 6- began the day at Ueno park where we visited a dog-focused street market, then over to Asakusa where we checked out the Senso-ji Shrine, shopped at Don Quijote (fun, multi-level store that has a little of everything), then went on a river cruise to Odaiba, where we spent a little time on the beach. After that, we went to Hamarikyu garden, a former shogun’s property that has been turned into a peaceful oasis in the middle of Tokyo. Then it was off to our last night adventure- karaoke! Super fun day! Tomorrow we’ll have a little time to visit the Tsukiji fish market area (largest fish market in the world), and then head to the airport. Can’t believe our Japanese adventure is almost over, but we’ve seen and done so much!

Day 5- Started the day by going up in Tokyo Tower for an amazing view of the city. Then off to Akihabara, the electronics area of Tokyo for some fun & games. After that we went to the Miraikan Science Museum where we saw and interacted with some cool exhibits, then finished the day at Kappa Sushi for dinner.

Day 4- Started the day with a Shinkansen (bullet train) ride from Kyoto to Tokyo, then went to Harajuku, a very popular and crowded shopping street. After that we visited the Meiji Jingu Shrine, the largest shrine in Japan. After that, we visited Shibuya, and did the famous Shibuya crossing on our way to the Pokémon and Nintendo center. Finished the day with a yummy dinner of Gyudon in the Kabukicho district.

Day 3: Another amazing day- our last in Kyoto. We visited the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, the Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion), and the Fushimi Inari Shrine, with its multitude of beautiful, red Tori gates. Then topped it off with a delicious Japanese Hotpot dinner! Tomorrow we head to Tokyo on the Bullet Train!

Day 2- Super fun day!! Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Todai-ji Temple (giant wooden temple with huge Buddha statues), Higashimuki shopping district, Taiko drumming lesson, Yakisoba for dinner- yummy!

What an incredible 1st Day! Cup Noodle Museum, where we made our own custom Cup Noodle, Dotonbori (canal streets with tons of food, fun shops, etc.), & Osaka Castle (learning Japanese history and sooooo many cherry trees) and more. Beautiful places, amazing food, and The cherry blossoms are in full bloom!
