The 38th edition of the International Festival Jazz Plaza 2023, from January 22 to 29, will be attended by musicians from Cuba, Colombia, Spain, Germany, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States.

This edition will privilege the confluence between different generations of jazz players.

In the inaugural concert will be the Argentine guitarist Dominic Miller together with the Orquesta Sinfonica Nacional and also the emblematic rumba ensemble Los Muñequitos de Matanzas, celebrating 70 years of its foundation. The 60th anniversary of the Orquesta Original de Manzanillo and the work of Martha Valdés will also be celebrated.

Roberto Fonseca's Madre Oshun sets the pace for the festival and brings together Brenda Navarrete, Zule Guerra, Ruly Herrera, Adel González, César López and instrumentalists Dayron Ortiz on electric guitar and bassist Yandy Martínez.

The official poster Baseball Player, by Arturo Montoto, is a mix of music and baseball, two of the symbols of national culture.
