Fall Into Cuba I

Many think Cuba falls into the 'too hard' basket, but everyone that joins us absolutely loves it! There's something about the hands-on experiences, the variety of activities, and the unmatched hospitality of the locals that leave travelers enchanted.
U.S. travelers regularly visit Cuba on a land-based trip under the Support for the Cuban People general license. Coabana Tours private itineraries are compliant with the Support for the Cuban People general license. Regularly scheduled direct flights from US destinations are available for group coordination via Houston & Miami.
Travelers enjoy immersive and interactive cultural experiences that go far beyond a history lesson or a basic guided tour. Our trip leaders and guides have been taking people through Cuba for years. They understand the nuances of the place, are practiced at getting our guests into restaurants and other spots when other people can't, and are comfortable making on-the-fly adjustments as the country changes.
Day 1 - Monday
2:30pm- Arrive Cuba on United through Houston. American through Miami 2nd option. Arriving together to be coordinated.
Select a color and Ford, Chevrolet, or Dodge. Sip rum and have a cigar as you depart the airport in your preferred classic convertible. We’ll get the luggage to your rooms @ Claxon boutique hotel in Vedado while you set out for your first sightseeing cruise. Welcome cocktail & more as desired in the courtyard @ Claxon to settle in.
8:00pm- Dinner @ Casa Mia.
Day 2 - Tuesday
Breakfast if desired starting @ 7:30am.�9:00am- Hop in our classic convertibles to visit to the former estate of Ernest Hemingway, Finca Vigia. Many know the celebrated writer won the 1954 Nobel Prize in literature for his novel The Old Man and the Sea but, few know he lived many years of his life in Cuba. Afterwards head to the Jaimanitas area.
1:30pm- Lunch @ Santy Pescadar. Each mornings fishing trips depict what the daily menu will bring. Non-fish options also available. After lunch visit Fusterlandia where a burst of color and playful design emerges. The residential property of artist Jose Fuster José Rodríguez Fuster (also known as the ‘Picasso of the Caribbean’) has been converted into a mosaic wonderland and studio.
8:00 pm- Dinner @ 5 Sentidos. Follow with a rooftop jazz concert @ Claxon.
Day 3 - Wednesday
Breakfast if desired starting @ 7:30am.
10:00am- Head to the Central Equestrian Center located within Lenin Park 35 minutes south of Havana. One of our travelers is a horse trainer visiting for her 5th time and will be doing a half-day clinic for a small group of jumper riders.
7:00pm - Sunset dinner @ Vista Mar.
Day 4- Thursday
Breakfast if desired starting @ 7:30am.
10:00am- Into Old Havana to begin our walking tour. Old Town stands as one of the best preserved historical nuclei in Latin America. Plaza de Armas, Plaza de San Francisco de Asís, Plaza Vieja, and Plaza de la Catedral. See the beauty of the historical buildings, sculptures and monuments.
1:30pm- Cha Cha Cha. Mojito tasting and small bites.
3:30pm- Cigar smoking and rum paring experience.
8:30pm- Dinner @ Otromanera.
10:00pm- Off to Fabrica De Arte, the Cuban art factory. Incredible multimedia venue with several stages of live concerts, an open air movie theatre, dance floors, art exhibitions, and quirky cocktails at bars spread throughout the complex.
Day 5- Friday
Breakfast if desired starting @ 7:30am.
10:00am- Head to Varadero. Varadero is rated one of the world's best beach areas due to its crystalline turquoise water. A TripAdvisor Traveler's Choice Award winner ranking it #9 in 2024 for beach destinations.
2:00pm- Check into the AirBnB’s and hit the beach. Need to really decompress? Beachside massage tables will be ready.
8:00pm- Dinner @ Marisqueria Laurent on the beach.
Day 6/7 - Saturday, Sunday
Snorkeling, scuba diving, just lay on the beach, ocean side massages, visit Cueva de Saturno (Saturn Cave) cenote cave swimming spot located just before Varadero, day boat trip to the cays, ++++ etc. Options galore. Decide as a group what to do. Golf anyone? Varadero golf club can welcome us. Beatles Bar for live music and dancing as wanted nightly.
Dinners @ Waco’s Club & La Gruta El Vino.
Day 8 - Monday
8:00am- Depart for Havana. Some leave for the airport to head home. Others drop bags at the AirBnB. Lunch @ Cha Cha Cha.
Visit El Morro Castle, a fortress that was built in the 1590s to protect the city from pirate attacks. Today, it acts as a fascinating museum and offers incredible views of Havana Bay. Talk about what we want to do further.
7:00pm- Dinner @ La Reserva.
9:30pm- Tropicana cabaret show.
Day 9 - Tuesday
Breakfast if desired starting @ 7:30am. Leisurely morning at Claxon & depart for the airport as needed.

- $1250 down at booking PP. Non-Refundable if traveler cancels.
- Balance at arrival
- New US restrictions popping up forbidding travel under our category, cancelling due to natural disasters, cancelling due to political unrest will come with full refund of monies paid to date.
Our trip leaders and guides have been taking people through Cuba for years. They understand the nuances of the place, are practiced at getting our guests into restaurants and other spots when other people can't, and are comfortable making on-the-fly adjustments. We urge you to bring a flexible attitude and a sense of humor. The above itinerary reflects our best planning but, there may be times when we have to substitute different activities and dining options.
