Today is Friday and you know what that means?! AWFT Trip Drop Day! Our trips this year take you to three continents and seven different countries. The activity level ranges from relaxing to exhilarating. The trips this year aren't just travel...they are experiences. Join one or all...we want to see you there.

Trip: Wellness Retreat in South Korea and Bali
Dates: Nov. 6-13, 2026
Activity level: easy, none strenuous
Trip Description: This trip is exclusively for women and limited to 10 participants. We know that rest is an act of resistance, so we take an opportunity to rest and recharge. Our trip takes us to South Korea where you will have an opportunity to experience medical tourism. Next we travel to the jungles of Bali and experience rest at the Ulaman Eco Luxury Resort.

Trip: Journey To Your Roots - Africa edition Part 2
Dates: April 28-May 12, 2027
Locations: Egypt/Ethiopia/Zanzibar
Activity level: Strenuous, walking required (This is a signature AWFT with lots of moving parts)
Trip Description: We go back to Africa, but this time, we start our roots journey in Egypt. We visit the new Grand Egyptian Museum and then fly to Aswan and visit the Nubian villages there and cruise down the Nile. We then take off for Ethiopia. We visit the Rock Hewn Churches in Lalibela and then visit tribes in the Omo Valley. Finally, we visit Zanzibar and Stonetown, where some of the last vestiges of slavery remained until the early 1900s.

Trip: New Year in South America
Dates: December 26, 2027-January 5, 2028
Locations: Chile/Easter Island/Argentina
Activity level: Strenuous, walking required, high altitude in certain parts (This is a signature AWFT trip with lots of moving parts.)
Trip Description: These are two of my favorite countries! We will visit wine country in Chile, and head to the deserts of Atacama in Chile. We head over to Buenos Aires in Argentina for New Year celebration (along with some tango) before we wrap up our journey diving into the mysterious history of Rapa Nui and the Moai.

One thing I need hotels/tour guides/airlines to change in 2026: Please stop defaulting to "Mr." in your salutations. Because the real fact: on average, women are the ones who are booking hotels, tours, flights, etc. even if they are not traveling solo. It is extremely disrespectful.

AWFT has arrived in Colombia! Today we are exploring the AfroColombian town of Palenque. We always try to find our roots wherever we go and Colombia is no different. As we learned from our friends at Cultured Ghana it is always "For the Culture!"
