Inaugurated on May 20, 1929, This architectural icon of Havana marks the Kilometer 0 of Cuba`s highways system. The building`s majesty is enhanced by its cupola, 92 meters high, which because
of its proportions and outline resembles the St. Peter Basilica in Rome. Among its many attractions, you will find the gigantic statue of the Republic of Cuba, made by Italian artist Angelo Zanelli
and the third largest indoor sculpture in the world.
The Cuban Capitol, with a striking similarity to the one at Washington, was the seat of the House of Representatives and the Senate until 1959. In its chambers the Constituent Assembly held
its sessions in 1940, and the Constitution of the Republic was promulgated there on that same year.

Vinales is an amazing area where old world Cuba meets a dramatic mountain landscape and hidden caves. It is about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Old Havana. Known for the country’s best agricultural land, this is Cuba’s best soil for to***co, coffee and produce. The small town of Vinales is made up of one-story wooden houses with porches - plenty of pics to take here!

Let's plan our time - there are so many choices.... explore a cave by boat... plantation tours... horse back riding... shop the markets...

I was there in March and want to take another group there soon!
