Quero fechar este assunto com serenidade.
A petição “Save the Route 66 Boa Vista” chegou a 105 pessoas. Não vai travar nenhuma obra do Estado.
Serviu para lembrar que um lugar se desenvolve com estradas seguras, mas também com respeito pela sua história e pela sua paisagem. As duas coisas não são inimigas.
Recebi muitas críticas. Algumas duras. Quero esclarecer: vivo em Boa Vista há quase 20 anos. Trabalho aqui, contribuo aqui, amo esta ilha. Quando defendo uma praia, uma estrada ou uma praça, faço-o como moradora, não como turista de passagem. O ambiente não tem passaporte.
Se a forma como me expressei magoou alguém, lamento muito. Não era essa a intenção.
O meu objetivo era apenas dizer: tenhamos cuidado para não repetir os erros de Bofareira, Fundo das Figueiras, Povoação Velha, Sal Rei… ou do hotel fantasma de Santa Mónica.
A verdadeira pergunta que f**a é: quais são as prioridades da ilha? E como garantimos que o progresso de hoje não vira arrependimento amanhã?
Da minha parte, encerro aqui o debate online. Mas deixo as portas abertas para quem quiser, presencialmente e com respeito, conversar sobre como protegemos juntos o que Boa Vista tem de único.
Contem comigo para construir, não para dividir.

The petition “Save the Route 66 Boa Vista” reached 105 people. It will not stop any government project. It served to remind us that a place develops with safe roads, but also with respect for its history and its landscape. The two are not enemies.
I received a lot of criticism. Some of it harsh. I want to clarify: I have lived in Boa Vista for almost 20 years. I work here, I contribute here, I love this island. When I defend a beach, a road or a square, I do it as a resident, not as a passing tourist. The environment has no passport.
If the way I expressed myself hurt anyone, I’m sorry. That was not the goal. My goal was only to say: let’s be careful not to repeat the mistakes of Bofareira, Fundo das Figueiras, Povoação Velha, Sal Rei… or the ghost hotel of Santa Mónica.
The real question that remains is: what are the island’s priorities? And how do we ensure that today’s progress does not become tomorrow’s regret?
For my part, I end the online debate here. But I leave my door open to anyone who wants, in person and with respect, to talk about how we can protect together what makes Boa Vista unique.

Ich möchte diese Angelegenheit in Ruhe abschließen.
Die Petition „Save the Route 66 Boa Vista“ hat 105 Menschen erreicht. Sie wird kein staatliches Projekt stoppen. Sie sollte daran erinnern, dass sich ein Ort mit sicheren Straßen entwickelt, aber auch mit Respekt für seine Geschichte und seine Landschaft. Beides sind keine Gegner.
Ich habe viel Kritik erhalten. Manches war hart. Ich möchte klarstellen: Ich lebe seit fast 20 Jahren auf Boa Vista. Ich arbeite hier, ich trage hier bei, ich liebe diese Insel. Wenn ich einen Strand, eine Straße oder einen Platz verteidige, tue ich das als Bewohnerin, nicht als Touristin auf der Durchreise. Die Umwelt hat keinen Reisepass.
Falls ich jemanden mit meiner Art verletzt habe, tut es mir leid. Das war nicht das Ziel. Mein Ziel war nur zu sagen: Passen wir auf, dass wir die Fehler von Bofareira, Fundo das Figueiras, Povoação Velha, Sal Rei… oder vom Geisterhotel in Santa Mónica nicht wiederholen.
Die eigentliche Frage, die bleibt, ist: Was sind die Prioritäten der Insel? Und wie stellen wir sicher, dass der Fortschritt von heute nicht das Bedauern von morgen wird?
Ich beende die Online-Debatte hier für meinen Teil. Aber meine Tür bleibt offen für alle, die persönlich und mit Respekt darüber sprechen wollen, wie wir gemeinsam schützen, was Boa Vista einzigartig macht.
