Some souvenirs you can pack in a suitcase. But the best ones? They’re the stories you take home… and if you’re really lucky, the kind that keep pulling you back to this island.

This one’s close to my heart. That’s our very own Jefa, Raymonde, and the wonderful Cameron. A little over a year ago, Cameron and his family stayed with us for their Curaçao escape. They hopped aboard our boat Suerte (means “Luck” 😉)… and let’s just say the name lived up to itself.

Fast forward to today: my man just traveled 27 hours from Oregon—yes, twenty-seven!—to spend a week with Raymonde. If that’s not love, I don’t know what is. ❤️

It makes me proud (and a little teary, but don’t tell anyone) that this island, this life, played even a tiny part in the start of their story. Proof that Curaçao magic is real, dushi.

Now, Ray and Boy already call him “Bob the Builder.” Is he secretly a construction wizard? Or are those two just wishfully recruiting free labor for their next project? 😂 The jury’s out…

What’s not in doubt is this: Cameron, welcome to the family. You’re Coconut Cartel now. 🥥🌴

Today, we said “see you later” to our friends Martijn, Corine, and the entire Van der Harst Cartel. This was their fifth time staying with us.

Five years of shared stories, sunset boat trips, inside jokes, and watching their kids grow up. We’ve gone from being hosts to becoming babysitters, from sharing restaurant tips to sharing life updates. They have become part of the very fabric of our family.

As they left, they handed us this. And we were speechless.

This bottle is a beautiful symbol of what we strive to build. It’s not about transactions; it’s about transformations. It’s about creating an experience so filled with care, connection, and genuine friendship that guests don’t just leave a review—they leave a piece of their heart. And they take a piece of ours with them.

To the Van der Harst Cartel: thank you. Not for the champagne, but for five incredible chapters in our shared story. We are already counting down to chapter six.

We just received this message from our friend and island family member, Thomas. And he’s right. It won’t be the same.

Because his vacation with us wasn’t just a simple stay. It was an adventure. We battled a last-minute booking cancellation, fixed a rebellious sliding door, solved a hot water mystery, and got a gate remote working again. In short, we went through it together.

This is our friend and island family member, Adrian Ferrer. After his family’s third trip to see us, he decided to make his connection to Curaçao and our family a permanent one.

The design tells his story: the outline of the Dushi Curaçao , the signature Tommy Coconut palm tree, and three small coconuts—one for each unforgettable visit. The best part? He left space to add more coconuts for all the adventures yet to come.
