When Expectations Are Not Just Met, But Exceeded.

Here at Tommy Coconut, we live by a simple truth: “The Treasure Is Out There.” And for us, that treasure is a truly effortless, memorable vacation for every member of our Coconut Cartel. But sometimes, our guests find even more than they were searching for.

Just take Andrew S., a recent member of the Coconut Cartel, who just dropped a review that had the whole adopted family buzzing. He came with his family of seven, and like many, had his doubts about how a vacation home company could consistently deliver 5-star experiences.

Well, Andrew, we’re thrilled to report: “everything you read... is true.”

From the moment they arrived, the Tommy Coconut Standard kicked in: VIP airport transfers, their personal iCar, and a welcome that felt like coming home. Andrew highlighted the personal touches – from the thoughtful gifts and treasure chests for the kids to the “army/cartel/family of people” (that’s us!) ready to answer every call, whether it was for extra towels or a last-minute restaurant reservation. Meet Parker. The 9-year-old master mixologist who perfectly explains what Tommy Coconut is all about. 👉

When the Boyd family told us their son Parker loved making mocktails, we knew we had to make it official. We created a “Junior Mix Masters Card” just for him, empowering him to be the head bartender of their own private mini-resort.

It was a small gesture, but as his mom Lisa said in her incredible review (swipe to see!), these little personal touches for Parker made their entire family vacation unforgettable.

This is what we call “The Parker Effect.” It’s our core belief that the greatest luxury isn’t about fancy things; it’s about creating personal, joyful moments that turn a great trip into a legendary one. It’s the heart of the Coconut Cartel.

A while back, I put out a call to the real experts—the Coconut Cartel. I asked you for your stories, your memories, your ‘song-worthy’ moments.

You delivered. And today, those stories have become the soundtrack to the Dushi Life.

30 years.

Today, we celebrate the heart and soul of the entire Tommy Coconut operation: Ray “Right Hand Ray” and Kim “Queen of Clean.” Three decades of partnership, adventure, and building a life together.

So, where are they celebrating this monumental occasion? A fancy dinner? A private getaway?

Knowing them, they’re probably in a hardware store somewhere, passionately debating the merits of a new kitchen tile or the perfect shade of turquoise for a wall.

And honestly, that’s what makes them so special. Because when you’re building a dream together, every single detail becomes part of your love story.

Sometimes, the most powerful reviews aren’t left online.

Sometimes, they’re handwritten notes left on the kitchen counter that stop our entire family doing what we are doing..

We just said ‘ayó’ to Rick and Kari Cafeo, and they left this behind. When we read lines like, “You truly make everything better... we leave with a collection of beautiful ‘Wow’ experiences,” it’s a powerful reminder of our mission.

We’re not in the business of renting villas. We’re in the business of sharing our “human gifts” and giving people “the inspiration to live out dreams.”

And their P.S. to the team—“Please enjoy your favorite dushi island experience on us”—flips the script completely. It’s the moment guests truly become family.

A few weeks ago, we said ‘ayó’ to the amazing Bird cartel. We knew they had a great time, but you’re never quite sure of the real impact.

Then this package arrived from Colorado.

Personalized gifts for the team. Treats for our dogs, Happy & Lucky. A beautiful, handwritten letter. And a drawing from Ashley that’s now our official office art.

We talk a lot about making guests feel like family. We talk about the ‘Coconut Cartel.’ This right here... this is what it looks like when our guests feel it too. It’s not a transaction; it’s a connection.

The second Tommy Coconut album is officially in the works. It’s going to be a whole new collection of songs about living the Dushi Life.

But here’s the thing: I don’t want to just write about my island. I want to write about yours.

So, I’m turning to the real experts: The Coconut Cartel.

What does ‘vacation freedom’ actually look like?

It looks like the Hinkle family. They came to celebrate their daughter’s graduation and her first-ever trip out of the country. No pressure, right? 😉

Instead of being stuck at a resort, they had “Homie”—the name of their personal iCar.

For George, freedom was a quiet morning ritual: driving Homie (barefoot) down to the Coffee Bike around the corner for the best espresso on the island, just because he could. No schedules, no buffet lines. Just a perfect, personal moment.

For the family, freedom was exploring the entire island with zero fuel cost. It was texting us for a last-minute dinner reservation. It was deciding to eat in one night because they felt like it.

This is what we mean when we say we’re not a resort. The real luxury isn’t the big stuff; it’s the absolute freedom to create these small, perfect, unscripted memories.
