Andreas Kalavazides Ltd has been combining traditional experience and cutting edge technology since its creation. Founded by Andreas Kalavazides in 1970, the company began with a small assembly line at the center of Limassol with a focus on interior Blinds. In 1975, Andreas Kalavazides following his company's success decided to rename it to Gold Star! The assembly line moved into private premises
.It was not much longer before continuing with expansion that the assembly line turned into a manufacturing unit, with the addition of rolling shutters production in 1983. Following demand, due to the development boom in the housing industry of Cyprus, in 1992 the company introduced to its product line, Garage doors. Growth and success, due to its excellent quality products and after sales service, brought the company to be the first supplier of external Venetian blinds by 1996. Following closely to his father’s footsteps Stelios Kalavazides who grew up in his fathers factory, decided to bring back the traditional name of the company, honoring its founder, Andreas. With renewed dynamism and commitment to the principles which brought success, Stelios established Kalavazides Blinds & Shutters as one of the largest suppliers on the island. The success was mirrored by the new 2,000m2 factory and warehouse in 2004, at Agios Athanasios Industrial Area. The second foundation of this family business, has brought Anders Kalavazides to successfully join his father Stelios,bringing with him dedication & invaluable innovative prospects for the business. Anders, who also grew up in the family, comfortably adjusted into his grandfathers and fathers steps to take the Kalavazides name into the future.
