TO THE GOVERNMENT OF CYPRUS — ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
On 7 August 2025, I went to the beach I always use — right across from Fat Fish Restaurant, next to Columbia Beach — and what did I find? FEET of human waste in the sea. And feet of oil on the shore.
Our port is turning into a dump. Ships in Limassol Port are illegally dumping sewage and oil, and we’re swimming in it. I became a victim — rushed to the hospital with severe rashes all over my body. Two weeks of treatment, and I’m still suffering the consequences on my skin.
And what’s the government doing? Slapping ships with €8,000 fines — a joke. For €8,000, they’ll gladly spit in your face and pay it with a smile. Raise it to €800,000 or €1 million, and then maybe they’ll think twice before poisoning our sea.
Our beaches are filthy. Tourism is collapsing. Hotels are empty. The water is the worst I’ve seen in 15 years of living here.
Disgusting. Shameful. Dangerous.
Act NOW — or Cyprus will drown in its own negligence.
