Day 2 and Day 3 of the European Congress on Rural Tourism in Platres village in Cyprus.

The conference structured in four thematic sessions pointing out the interrelationship between sustainable development and tourism competitiveness. Examined the profile of the next generation customer together with the skills need to develop in order to maximize his/her satisfaction, the importance of the young generation in shaping tourism demand and product offers and the profile of the responsible traveler from different aspects.

The majority of the speakers were from various sectors with different perspectives with exceptional creative ideas and inspirational presentations!

The participants came from various European Countries and had the opportunity during the social program of the congress to experience the culture, the nature and the warm hospitality of the locals in Platres, Omodos and Kalopanayiotis villages.

The congress organised by the RuralTour Europe and Cyprus Agrotourism Company Agrotourism Cyprus and was supported from the Υφυπουργείο Τουρισμού - Deputy Ministry of Tourism and the Platres's Community Council
