🎉 6th Festival of Traditional Easter Games in Paphos

On Tuesday, 14 April 2026, a lively family event will take place in Paphos — the Festival of Traditional Easter Games.

📍 Location: Paphos Municipality Square (Kennedy Square)
🕓 Time: from 16:00
🎟 Entrance: free

The festival is organised by the KTHMA Paphos Folklore Group with the support of the Paphos Municipality and the Cyprus National Commission for UNESCO.

Programme includes:
– traditional Easter games for children and adults
– performances by a children’s dance group
– interactive activities for all visitors

It’s a great opportunity to experience Cypriot traditions and enjoy time with the whole family.

Barcelona Flamenco Ballet — for the first time in Cyprus! 💃

A bold interpretation of Carmen — Bizet’s iconic myth — that moves beyond traditional storytelling and engages with the contemporary struggle for women’s rights.

Under the artistic direction of leading contemporary flamenco artist David Gutiérrez, this production not only pays tribute to Prosper Mérimée’s work but also reflects the cultural diversity of Barcelona.

The art of flamenco is an energy born from the rhythm of heels, from shifting tempos, and from an inner force that flows through the performer’s body and draws in the audience. Here, the sound of Spanish guitars and castanets blends seamlessly with Bizet’s original music, enriched by expressive live flamenco singing.

In this performance, Carmen — a strong and passionate woman — confronts an unequal world and becomes a symbol of freedom and courage.
