Come tomorrow 28. 9. 2024 from 19:00 for the debate of .xyz (AT) and .eu (IT) on Exhibing Architecture and Architecture of Exhibiting at . ⛓️‍💥

“True to the motto of Galerie 45000 l, the conversation of HPO and Diskursiv will be dedicated to the theme of everyday contemporary architecture. The two collectives work at the interface between architecture and exhibitions, which is why they see themselves in a position to reflect a conversation on the subject of the architecture exhibition.
As can be seen from the Open Call of Galerie 45000 l, it is difficult to transfer the built into an exhibition space. Accordingly, the architecture exhibition and the exhibition of architecture are up for debate.
As collectives, HPO and Diskursiv regularly participate in public tenders and calls for contributions – they inherently negotiate the urge for independence in their work and negotiate its realisability with their everyday jobs. ”

Projekt maďarského kolektivu architektek Girlscanscan nabízí prostřednictvím místně specifické instalace ve výkladní skříni reflexi profese aranžérů*rek a dekoratérů*rek jež je v současné době na pokraji zániku. Výstava poukazuje na tyto povolání jako fenomény zejména druhé poloviny minulého století s jejich feministickými přesahy. 🎀

❀˖° In the display window, we’d like to explore the profession of the Windowdresser and Décorateurs on the verge of extinction and relate to the field of architecture where women are in numbers Europe-wide overrepresented but lack the visibility and exposure in the field.

₊˚⊹ᰔ Tripping on Modernist Monuments: girlscanscan ₊˚⊹ᰔ was founded in the winter of 2020 within the Bercsényi Advanced College of Architecture. Since then we have been engaged with our 20th century built environmental heritage. We are seeking to understand how this heritage affects us, the children of post-socialism, and what we have brought with us from the past century into the present. 🎀

Letos jsme již potřetí (!) součástí festivalu ᰔ Brno Art Week ᰔ, v rámci kterého galerie 45 000 l v roce 2022 zahájila svou výstavní činnost.

Přijďte s námi oslavit 2. narozeniny galerie na liminální raut, popovídat si s autorkou výstavy a dozdobit si vlastní porci jedlé špíny. A mezitím se nalaďte na doprovodný program s foto teaserem. ₊˚⊹ᰔ
