Unesco listed Holašovice village is well hidden treasure and greatest example of architecture style known as South Bohemian Folk Baroque. Based on the original 13th century medieval ground plan the exceptionally well preserved baroque farmstead houses & granaries date back to late 18th & early 19th century.

Another winter trip to Adršpach Rock Town reveals the change of the massive rocks being perceived differently in another weather conditions. The frozen waterfalls made a great impression and highlighted the unique atmosphere one can enjoy when coming to nature resorts after freezing cold february days... The off-season absence of tourist crowds also vastly contributed to the quiet & peaceful day trip experience in the rocks.

The second day of New Year’s roadtrip to the mountains took us to the famous Bohemian Switzerland National Park and its best known icon, Europe’s biggest natural stone arch called Pravčická Brána.

Tour of Adršpach Rock town was a wonderful New Year opener... slightly challenging weather conditions both on roads & hiking trail did not stop us to undertake this snowy winter adventure and enjoy the lovely nature reserve just 2,5 hour drive off Prague. We have enjoyed the quiet moments in a beautiful rock formations with just a few hikers passing around.
