We had the most idyllic layover in Holland! We were flying out of Amsterdam and since Grant and I had visited twice before we decided to stay outside the city and closer to the airport in the Dutch countryside 🐄🌾

It was cheaper and a cool experience for the boys. 🙌🏼

🚙 Our Airbnb was absolutely perfect but we could have used a rental car. Our host saved us by sharing some groceries 😇

We enjoyed kayaking the canal, walking to see the farm animals, and we had a great lunch at Brasserie Vennemeer.

We wrapped up our Turkey adventure with a trip to Kusadasi and Ephesus!

We had the best donor of the trip at 4 Brothers restaurant 🤤, played all afternoon at ladies beach, and got to visit the ruins of Ephesus and Virgin Mary’s house 🙏🏼

Move over Greece! Bodrum is less crowded, cheaper, and stunning!!

🐟 We stayed in Gümüşlük which is a cute fishing village on the tip of the peninsula.

🚙We ended up driving around the peninsula to check out different spots which was fun but a lot of car time for little ones

🎂We celebrated Grant’s 36th birthday with an amazing dinner at Sakhalin Bodrum in Yalıkavak Marina

🌴The water is gorgeous but the beaches are more rocks than sand so beach clubs are the play.

Tip: Go for a kid friendly lunch so you can enjoy the views without the fees

We love to sail and are always trying to stay on a boat! I used Click & Boat (basically Airbnb for boats) to book our charter leaving out of Fethiye.⛵️

Our captain loved the boys and sailing around the Gocek bays was so much fun! ⚓️

The vibe and sailing culture wasn’t as great as in BVI but we got to see such unique things like ancient rock tombs!

Sailing with kiddos isn’t exactly relaxing but there’s nothing like waking up on the water and laying on the bow stargazing.

Don’t underestimate a road trip stop! On our way from Kas to Fethiye we stopped in Oludeniz aka the blue lagoon.

Grant booked an impromptu paragliding sesh after reading that this is one of the best places in the world to do it! 🤯🌍

For the less adventurous family members don’t miss the restaurant at the top of the gondola, Babadağ Teleferik. The sunset views are insane!

So glad we stopped in Oludeniz for a few hours.

For the third stop on our Czech road trip we stayed in Mikulov!

This charming town in wine country is a delight, but turns out we don’t like the wine 😝🍷

Tip: Don’t forget to check out the nearby town of Valtice. There’s a centuries old wine tasting cellar in the château basement!

Kid tip: Czechia is known for its lemonade 🍋 there are so many delicious flavor combos so it’s a great mocktail option for the kiddos!

Stop 2 on our Czech road trip! Hiking to the Lesni Bar 🌲

🥾 The hike is a little over a mile uphill

🍺 At the top there is a honor system bar and cute cabin! So fun!

🐌 There are fun wood carvings along the trail so you know you’re going the right way. So fun for kids! 👶🏼
