Welcome to "Pinkasova Formanka" 🍺

Gothic-Renaissance foundations, an original stone staircase, and a space that once housed the beer cellar and ice storage. This is exactly where Jakub Pinkas tapped beer that was carried up to the upper floors of the restaurant.

Today, in this authentic cellar space for up to 60 guests, you can enjoy traditional Old Czech specialties.

Goticko-renesanční základy, původní kamenné schodiště a prostor, kde se kdysi nacházel pivní sklep a ledárna. Právě tady Jakub Pinkas čepoval pivo, které se vynášelo do horních pater restaurace.

Dnes tu můžete v autentickém sklepním prostoru pro 60 hostů ochutnat tradiční speciality staročeské kuchyně.

Legenda, která se nepije… ta se zažívá 🍺
Dneska jsme se podívali do restaurace "U Pinkasů" (1843) – jednoho z nejikoničtějších míst pražské pivní historie.
✔️ Sklep, kde se dřív skladovalo pivo a házel led
✔️ Dolní sněmovna – staročeská hospoda s poctivou plzní
✔️ Fotky legend, které tu seděly (ano, i Bohumil Hrabal)
✔️ Horní sněmovna a "Pinkasova noční můra" – 42 schodů, pivo a tradice
✔️ Restaurace „Doma“ – skvělé jídlo, kamna, atmosféra
Jakub Pinkas byl původně krejčí – a celý dům dodnes nese stopy jeho řemesla i doby.
Tohle není jen restaurace. Tohle je kus historie a Prahy.

, a few steps from the .cz (National Theater), where they tap their own Czech Lion beer. The beer is tasty, easy to drink, served in glasses of an unusual shape. You can sit and enjoy an honest beer in the garden in the courtyard, with greenery and an artistic sculpture. Definitely worth a stop on your way through the center of Prague.
