🏛️🦁 The Torchbearer and the Lion: A Statue That Both N***s and Communists Wanted to Remove! 🦁🏛️

Since 1898, the Torchbearer and Lion statue has stood atop the Czech National Bank, symbolizing strength and stability. Created by Antonín Popp for the former Živnostenská banka, it was made using the same technique as the Statue of Liberty in New York.

But its history is anything but peaceful! ⚠️

👉 In 1942, the N***s labeled it the "Lion of the Tribe of Judah" and planned to melt it down for war materials. The bank cleverly delayed the process, and after the war, the statue was returned in 1946.

👉 In 1960, the Communists wanted to replace the lion with a red star. Art historian Václav Vilém Štěch strongly opposed the idea, reminding officials that the N***s had tried the same thing. The lion remained!

Today, the Torchbearer and Lion is the official symbol of ČNB, representing the resilience of Czech banking traditions and the enduring power of true values.

🏛️🦁 Světlonoš a lev: socha, kterou chtěli sundat nacisté i komunisté! 🦁🏛️

Na střeše České národní banky stojí od roku 1898 sousoší Světlonoše se lvem, symbol síly a stability. Vytvořil ho Antonín Popp původně pro Živnobanku, a bylo vyrobeno stejnou technologií jako Socha svobody v New Yorku.

Jeho osud ale nebyl jednoduchý! ⚠️

👉 Nacisté ho v roce 1942 označili za „Lva z kmene Judova“ a chtěli ho roztavit na válečný materiál. Banka ale odklad takticky využila a sochu po válce v roce 1946 vrátila na své místo.

👉 Komunisté v roce 1960 plánovali nahradit lva rudou hvězdou. Profesor Václav Vilém Štěch ale jejich plán odmítl a připomněl, jak podobné pokusy dělali nacisté. Lev zůstal!

Dnes je Světlonoš se lvem oficiálním symbolem ČNB a připomíná nejen tradice českého bankovnictví, ale i to, že pravé hodnoty přežijí každou dobu.

🏰 The House at the Golden Well – A Mystery of Old Prague

This two-story Renaissance building with stone galleries and a narrow façade at Karlova 3, Prague 1, is not just an architectural gem but also home to a chilling legend.

In 1701, it was adorned with relief sculptures of saints by Jan Oldřich Mayer – St. Wenceslas, St. John of Nepomuk, St. Roch, St. Sebastian, St. Ignatius, St. Francis Xavier, and St. Rosalia.

According to legend, during the reign of Emperor Rudolf II, a Spanish couple stayed here – only to be murdered by the house’s owner. Their headless bodies were said to wander the house at midnight until a new tenant, a master confectioner, arranged a mass for their souls. From that moment on, the ghosts disappeared – and the confectioner mysteriously became rich…

🏰 Dům U Zlaté studně – tajemství staré Prahy

Tato renesanční dvoupatrová budova s kamennými pavlačemi a úzkým průčelím na adrese Karlova 3, Praha 1, je nejen architektonickým skvostem, ale i místem s temnou legendou.

V roce 1701 ji zdobily reliéfní plastiky světců od Jana Oldřicha Mayera – Sv. Václava, Sv. Jana Nepomuckého, Sv. Rocha, Sv. Šebestiána, Sv. Ignáce, Sv. Františka Xaverského a Sv. Rosálie.

Podle pověsti zde za vlády císaře Rudolfa II. pobýval španělský manželský pár, který byl zákeřně zavražděn majitelem domu. Bezhlavá těla se od té doby zjevovala o půlnoci, dokud nový obyvatel, mistr cukrář, nenechal sloužit mši za jejich duše. Od té doby strašidla zmizela – a cukrář prý záhadně zbohatl...

One of Prague’s most iconic landmarks, Týnský chrám dominates Old Town Square with its towering spires. But did you know that this stunning church hides some incredible secrets?

🕵️‍♂️ Inside, you’ll find the tomb of Tycho Brahe, the famous Danish astronomer who worked with Johannes Kepler. His mysterious death in 1601 still sparks debates!

🏰 The church was also once a stronghold of the Hussites, who opposed the Catholic Church’s rule. Look closely, and you’ll notice a golden chalice above the entrance—a symbol of their defiance.

Jeden z nejikoničtějších pražských kostelů, Týnský chrám, dominuje Staroměstskému náměstí svými majestátními věžemi. Ale věděli jste, že tento úchvatný chrám skrývá neuvěřitelná tajemství?

🕵️‍♂️ Uvnitř se nachází hrob Tycha Braha, slavného dánského astronoma, který spolupracoval s Johannesem Keplerem. Jeho záhadná smrt v roce 1601 dodnes vyvolává spekulace!
