Bikerentals.cz Bike tours and group rentals located on one of the the main (A2) cycling paths just off "Náplavka". No fancy office, all simple and straight.

The idea to start a bike rental business came to me some years ago while on a trip to Germany with my two kids. We were spending a week in Düsseldorf and rented some bikes from a Dutch guy living there. He kept some 30 bikes, mostly Gazelle and other "Omafiets" type of vehicles built in the Netherlands, in a little garage right by his house. Simple old bikes, the ones you would keep to get you to

the railway station or go shopping for groceries. And pretty cheap for that matter, 10 Euros a bike per day. That was about half of what bike rentals in Prague would then charge. Back home, I did some research and eventually found some offers around 10 Euros, of course on the outskirts of the city and with no other language spoken then Czech, hence virtually useless for tourists. Later, the cycling avantgardists at Bajkazyl started a side business renting (beautifully refurbished) vintage bikes for reasonable prices. The idea with bikerentals.cz is to link up local rental shops with cycling enthusists visiting Prague and looking for affordable bike rentals: new and perfecty maintained bikes (MTBs, city cruisers) for reasonable prices. Additionally, I keep a (growing) number of oldschool bikes, mostly built in the late 70s and early 80s, that I rent out to people who love stylish vintage stuff.
