They say some cities you visit, but Prague? Prague adopts you. 🏰✨
Today is Mother’s Day, and it feels only right to honor the "Mother" who watches over us all here: Matíčka Praha. 🇨🇿❤️
In the Czech language, we affectionately call our city "Mother Prague." But she’s not your average mother. As the legendary Franz Kafka—Prague’s most famous and brooding son—once wrote:
"Prague never lets you go… this dear little mother has sharp claws." 🦅📜
It’s a hauntingly beautiful truth. Her "claws" are the golden spires that catch the sun, the narrow cobblestone alleys that whisper secrets, and the way the Vltava river reflects a thousand years of soul. Once she grabs hold of your heart, she never truly lets go. You leave, but a piece of you stays here forever. 🗝️✨
Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible women who nurture, protect, and lead—and to this mystical city that mothers every traveler who wanders into her arms. 💐🥂
May your day be filled with as much beauty as a Prague sunrise and as much warmth as a perfect cup of coffee. ☕️☁️
