Morning – Lake Bled (2 hours)
Start your day early at the enchanting Lake Bled in Slovenia. Stroll along the glimmering shoreline, snap photos of the iconic island church, and soak in breathtaking mountain and castle views. Ideal for a peaceful 2-hour visit with time to perhaps try a local Bled cream cake before departure.
Midday – Drive to Novigrad, Croatia
After the lake, enjoy a scenic 3‑hour drive down through western Slovenia into Istria, crossing borders into beautiful coastal Croatia.
Afternoon – Novigrad town & beach time
Arriving in Novigrad, take time to explore its charming medieval old town—wander the narrow Venetian‐style streets, admire the ancient walls, and take in the picturesque port. Then, relax on one of Novigrad’s inviting beaches or pebble coves—a perfect break by the Adriatic.
Evening – St. Pelagius Festivity (28–31 Aug 2025)
Your Saturday evening aligns wonderfully with Novigrad’s St. Pelagius Festivity (Fešta svetog Pelagija), held annually from 28 to 31 August. Enjoy live music, cultural performances, local food stalls lining the harbour, and vibrant street life. If you're around on the opening night, you’ll see the celebratory Mass and procession honoring the patron saint. It’s a lively, authentic Istrian celebration!
