Twenty frames, three very short days (before experiencing something truly spectacular, coming in next post), and a city that still finds new ways to stop us in our tracks. Rome has been part of our lives more than a dozen times, yet no place captivates us quite like this one. Every return feels familiar and entirely new at once. We wandered, lingered, uncovered corners we’d never seen before, and were reminded that Rome always keeps something in reserve for your next visit. This time, home away from home was something special. We had the privilege of staying at the Orient Express La Minerva, the legendary brand’s first hotel opening. Set within a 17th-century noble residence just steps from our forever favorite architectural gem, the Pantheon. A place where centuries of history quietly meet modern imagination: Roman columns, museum-worthy sculptures, a stained-glass ceiling crowning the lobby, and rooms that each tell their own story. Once a refuge for artists, aristocrats, and Grand Tour dreamers, it now feels like a love letters to them and this Eternal City itself. These photos are small fragments of a city that never gives itself away all at once. Rome doesn’t just invite you back, it insists on it.
