Watch to the end! Krampus run in Salzburg - SO much fun. I can't wait to start planning client trips for next December!!

We kicked off the holiday season tonight in Ljubljana, Slovenia! At 5pm they turned on the holiday lights in the city center to huge cheers from the crowd.

There's no Christmas market here per se but there are some craft, food, and drink booths. And lots of people out enjoying the start of the season!

Tomorrow we head back to Austria for Christmas markets!

Last year we got to see the Christkind on the first night of the Nürnberg Christmas market! It was VERY crowded but worth it!

Controversial opinion...you don't have to download a transit app for every city you visit!

If you only need a couple tickets, just buy them from a ticket machine. It's quick and easy!

Or use the Deutschland-Ticket (LMK if you'd like the link to our DT guide).

Tip: if your ticket doesn't come with a date/time on it, be sure to validate it.

Ludwigsburg Christmas market! Best after dark when the lights come on. If you're near Stuttgart, be sure to visit this one!

If you have our DIY Germany Travel Planner, you'll find our photos of this and 90 other top markets we recommend on our custom created Germany Christmas market map!

Germany's our jam but we also help clients venture into neighboring countries like Austria.

On our current research trip we visited an ice cave near Werfen, Austria and the view from the opening of the cave was magnificent. It was worth the 40 minutes walking uphill!

Give this a ❤️= if you're going to Germany's magical Christmas markets this year and 👍 = if you want to sometime!

Last month we stopped by Ramsau near Berchtesgaden to see if we could FINALLY get a photo of us with the mountains in the background instead of just clouds - and yes, the mountains were out this time! 😍

Have you been to Ramsau? Berchtesgaden? Or is that area on your Germany travel wish list?
