🕯️ NEW IN BERLIN: Memorial to the Persecuted and Murdered Jehovah’s Witnesses 🕯️
This is the first video I have been able to make of Berlin’s newest memorial, which officially opens next week in the Tiergarten.
The memorial is a striking 5-meter-high bronze tree trunk, symbolizing strength, resilience, and the courage to remain true to one’s beliefs in the face of persecution.
Jehovah’s Witnesses were among the first groups targeted by the N**i regime. They refused to give the Hi**er salute, swear loyalty to Hi**er, or serve in the military. Thousands were arrested, imprisoned, and sent to concentration camps, where they were identified by the purple triangle.
What makes their story especially remarkable is that many could have gained their freedom simply by renouncing their faith. Most refused.
Located near the Goldfish Pond in the Tiergarten, this new memorial ensures that their courage and sacrifice will not be forgotten.
