The Salon Schmitz is a café with lounge area in the style of the 50s and 60s. Here, Danish design classics from the 1950s meet German furniture design from the 1960s. This mixture of clear forms with traditional elements offers guests an unmistakable ambience in Cologne’s Belgian quarter.

In addition to the large selection of drinks, you can order various dishes – from savoury to sweet, warm or cold, large or small – in the butcher’s shop. These will then be served at your place.

Here you can start days, spend lunch breaks and end evenings. On weekends you can even enjoy almost 24 hours of pleasure – in the basement you will find the Coco Schmitz, an event location with changing events that not only feeds night owls but also those who don’t have enough after their last drink in the salon.

In cooperation with the Kunstgruppe Köln, they play in the lounge area at regular intervals with changing exhibitions. These are of course always connected with a vernissage, but beyond this event you can enjoy viewing the artworks throughout the entire exhibition period.
