Don’t forget: EURORANDO 2026 is coming to the Ore Mountains from September 20–27! 🥾

💡The EURORANDO hiking festival is the largest festival of its kind in Europe and brings thousands of guests from many nations to the cross-border UNESCO World Heritage "The Erzgebirge/Krušnohoří Mining Region".

For one week, hiking enthusiasts from across Europe will meet around Fichtelberg and Klínovec (Keilberg). Around 50 hikes invite you to discover the German and Czech Ore Mountains, from guided group tours to individual routes, with themes ranging from nature and sports to the region’s mining heritage.
The programme also includes concerts, exhibitions and a regional market. The highlight is the closing ceremony with a festive parade on September 26, including the inauguration of a new monument at the German-Czech border.

And there’s even more: from September 24–27, the 123rd German Hiking Day will take place in Oberwiesenthal.

One of the most influential painters of the Renaissance is coming to Dresden. 🎨

From 19 September 2026 to 10 January 2027, the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister at the Dresden Zwinger will host "Correggio. Movingly Human." The exhibition brings together exceptional international loans and is the first exhibition ever dedicated to Correggio's complete oeuvre outside Italy.

Known for his masterful use of light and his deeply human portrayal of emotion, Correggio's works influenced generations of artists, yet remain a hidden gem to many art lovers today.

Vineyard views, historic wine cellars, local flavours, and a glass in the hand 🍷

During the Days of the Open Wineries, wineries across the Saxon Wine Route open their doors for a weekend full of tastings from the 28th to the 30th of August.

What can you expect?
Vineyard tours, cellar visits, regional cuisine, and unique experiences for all ages.

Where?
From Pirna to Diesbar-Seußlitz near Meissen, discover one of Germany’s most charming wine regions and enjoy Saxony at its most authentic.

How to get there?
Easy to reach by train from Dresden and Leipzig, with special shuttle buses connecting the wineries throughout the weekend 🚆
