🌿 Wer am Erlanger Marktplatz vorbeischlendert, kommt an ihr kaum vorbei: Erlangia, die bronzene Stadtgestalt auf dem prachtvollen Paulibrunnen. Seit 1889 wacht sie gemeinsam mit Alma Mater, dem Sinnbild der Wissenschaft, über die Stadt – ein Denkmal für das, was Erlangen ausmacht: Gewerbe, Wissen, Geschichte.
Aber es gibt noch mehr zu entdecken: zum Beispiel die in feinen Stein gemeißelten Gesichter von Markgraf Christian Ernst, Markgraf Alexander und Prinzregent Luitpold von Bayern. Und auf einer Tafel – fast verborgen – die Namen bedeutender Denker: 📚 Rückert, von Hofmann, von Glück und Dittrich – vier kluge Köpfe, die einst ihre Fakultäten prägten.

🇬🇧 If you stroll past Erlangen's market square, it's hard to miss her: Erlangia, the bronze city figure on the magnificent Pauli Fountain. Since 1889, she has been watching over the city together with Alma Mater, the symbol of science - a monument to what makes Erlangen what it is: industry, knowledge, history.
But there is more to discover: for example, the faces of Margrave Christian Ernst, Margrave Alexander and Prince Regent Luitpold of Bavaria carved in fine stone. And on a plaque - almost hidden from view - the names of important thinkers: 📚 Rückert, von Hofmann, von Glück and Dittrich - four bright minds who once shaped their faculties.
