We know exactly what looks like. But how often do we think about where it actually begins?
Not in a factory. Not in a supermarket.
In a field.
One of the things we try to do with ANYWAYS ITALY is tell Italy through things that are still very much part of everyday life — food, agriculture, small producers and traditions — but that we often no longer stop to think about.
Our newest project does exactly that.
You can adopt a in and follow what happens there during the year, from the field to the harvest.
And this time, the connection is particularly tangible: after the harvest, the adopter receives 15 kg of pasta and/or flour made from Sicilian wheat.
We particularly like the idea behind this one because pasta is probably one of the most recognisable symbols of Italy in the world.
Yet its story begins with something incredibly simple: wheat growing in a field.
The adoption brings those two things back together.
The field you follow during the year eventually becomes something you put on your own table.
And perhaps that is also why we like symbolic adoptions so much: they make the origin of everyday things visible again. 🌾
Of course, there is also a less philosophical reason to adopt one:
