How we differ from Booking.com, Hotels.com and Laterooms?
Hotels.tv is all about setting up agents in local territories to go out and help people who need help making bookings. These are people like PA’s of companies, exhibition organisers, event organisers, group organisers etc.
Our target clients cannot easily make their bookings on Booking.com or other sites as they don’t have the facility to book over 5+ rooms at a time. And, if they did the client still needs a contact in the area to help with the logistics of the booking including how their delegates book, negotiated rates with the hotels for a larger groups and other details to do with the booking. This is something that someone local, who is connected to the event – who cares, can do well and generate loyalty with their customers.
Often, companies have a small amount of bookings monthly but this adds up over a 12 month period. So as a Franchise you can work with companies to provide negotiated rates.
The Hotels.tv technology allows Franchises to have a public website, like other websites, but provides the unique opportunity to put together a private booking area just for specific clients.
The client receives a very dedicated service, and because it is not a public area, Franchisees can negotiate lower than market rates and add them to the private booking area, making them bookable online.
Online bookings through the public area are still important, but if this is all you are going to focus on then this is when you start to compete with online booking companies bigger than you are. We recommend a way to do this, which involves Social Marketing and Blogs. But it takes time to build up – The Companies and Groups via a Private Booking area can generate revenue straight away..
The business is all about building a solid business that is not dependent on Google or other search engines. You build a core client base (as above), then as your search engine listings improve (due to your online marketing via social marketing and blogs) you will receive bookings online which can come in and automatically be processed 24 hours a day by your system.
By being part of a global network, Franchisees can also share business and share commission – so as the network grows it will deliver new business to the established franchisees and be shared around.
Also, Hotels.tv charges hotels 10% on average. Booking.com = 15%, Hotels.com/Expedia 25%, Laterooms.com 20%.
And, they deliver a price-based clients for 1-2 nights who stay and don’t spend money in the hotel – yet can cost the hotel up to 25%.
Corporate client tends to spend money in the hotel also, and only costs the hotel 10%.
